A useful way to tell which side your fuel cap is located…

fuel arrow Begin Driving

A little known fact

Have you ever driven into a petrol station and suddenly realised you don’t know or can’t remember which side the fuel cap is on?

Well I’m sure we have all done it at some stage but the good news is that it need never happen to you again. The next time you get into your car have a look at the fuel gauge and you will see a little fuel pump symbol, and at the side of that symbol you will see a little triangle/arrow, this arrow points to the side of the car that the fuel cap is located. If you don’t see a triangle/arrow then your fuel cap is on the same side that the nozzle and hosepipe appear on the fuel pump symbol.

This is a very simple solution to a potentially embarrassing situation at the pump. And if you still can’t remember where the fuel cap is don’t panic most modern pumps can reach both sides of the car (but only if your parking is up to scratch!!).
